History of the Spartanburg Police Club
In 1942, The Spartanburg Police Club was formed and their first
meetings were held at Lake Greenwood. The Club was run from that
location until April 1956 when the Spartanburg Police Club acquired the
property that is the current location of the club. A small house on the
property was used for meetings and such until the new club house was
constructed in 1960.
